Kiedan was born in Scarbourogh but has grown up in Leeds, attending Mount St Mary's High School and playing rugby for East Leeds.  He can play at full back or half back and has won the Leeds and District Cup three times, the BARLA Cup and the Yorkshire League.

The player he most admires is Sam Tomkins and as well as supporting the Rhinos he also follows Leeds United.  His ideal occupation away from rugby would be a fitness coach.

He comes from a sporting family and his dad is a former rugby player and his cousin Zach Freer in on the Wigan Scholarship programme.
