Leeds born second row, James Barraclough, joined the Leeds Rhinos Academy after impressing with the successful Oulton Invaders team who won the league, Leeds and District Cup, Yorkshire Cup and Challenge Cup in 2015.

By joining Leeds he is following in the footsteps on his grandad, who played for Leeds and Featherstone.  His first rugby memory is scoring in his first ever game and the most memorable moment to date is winning the Challenge Cup with Oulton against Hunslet.  He says his greatest achievement is signing a contract with the Rhinos and his pre superstition is eating six Weetbix and drinking coffee.

In his spare time he enjoys djing and he can also play piano and drums.  Away from rugby his ideal occupation would be to own his own business.
