Jon became the Head of Medical Services in 2013 having previously worked as Match day doctor since 2011. He is responsible for the both the Rhinos and Carnegie medical needs and works with other members of our medical team to ensure players are free from injury and illness.
He studied medicine at Leeds University and then gained an MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine from Nottingham University. He currently specialises in Sport and Exercise Medicine in the NHS. His previous experience includes working for the Rugby Football Union, Football Association and was the Team Doctor for Team GB at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival in 2013. During the 2012 London Olympics he worked as a Sports Medicine Doctor and the Field of Play Recover Team Leader at the Aquatics Centre and Basketball Arena. As well as his role with Leeds Rugby he is also a Doctor for Huddersfield Town AFC and England Football.
He was born in Liverpool and supports his local team Liverpool FC and in his spare time enjoys cooking and is currently attempting to learn French.
