Inclusivity Round: Simon Brown talks about the power of PDRL to change lives
Leeds Rhinos PDRL coach Simon Brown talks to Jamie Jones Buchanan about how playing the sport has brought the game back to people who thought they wouldn't be able to play again.
The Leeds Rhinos Foundation Physical Disability squad train every Monday 6:30-8pm at the Bartercard Training Complex, Kirkstall. These sessions are for adults with a wide range of Rugby League experience, whether they are new or experienced players.
PDRL is an adapted format of rugby for those with a variety of physical disabilities, such as visual impairment, cerebral palsy and limb amputation. Junior PDRL Junior Physical Disability RL sessions take place every Monday 5:30-6:30pm at the Bartercard Training Complex, Kirkstall.
These free sessions are for under 16s of all abilities. We currently have a large age range in participation, so our sessions are tailored to get people active and focus on the individual skills of RL.
The sessions are led by PDRL players Tom Kaye and Isaac Pickett.
