Leeds Rhinos Women signed rising star Beth Macmillan from Bradford Bulls ahead of the 2024 Betfred Women's Super League season.
Debuting in the Challenge Cup against Leigh Leopards in the opening game of the season, Macmillan went on to play six times across the season, after suffering an injury in July. Her sole try for the club that year came at home against Barrow Raiders in a dominant 68-0 triumph.
The utility back started playing rugby with Hunslet Warriors, before settling at Batley Bulldogs and South Leeds Spartans, where she was scouted by Bradford Bulls. She was initially part of their U19s side before her promotion to the first team where she soon earned a regular starting place at full back. Macmillan's form also earned her a spot in the England Students side in 2020, but unfortunately the Covid pandemic meant she didn't get the opportunity to represent her country.
In 2023, she was in outstanding form and picked up both Players' Player of the Year and Coaches' Player of the Year award, before joining Lois Forsell's side for the 2024 season.
Macmillan is a former pupil at Leeds City College where she was first coached by Lois Forsell in their Rugby League side. She is currently studying Sport and Exercise Therapy at Leeds Beckett University and enjoys watching ice hockey away from the rugby field.
