Magic WKND confirmed as best-seller in history after rapid ticket sales

Magic WKND has sold more tickets than ever before – even though it is still three months away. 

Betfred Super League’s 12 English clubs are all in action at rugby league’s annual bonanza which is being held at Everton FC’s world-class Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first time this summer. 

And RL Commercial have today revealed the event has already out-sold all other Magic WKNDs, surpassing the previous record attendance of 68,276 set at Newcastle United’s St James’ Park back in 2016. 

Now closing in on 70,000 tickets sold for the two-day action-packed feast of rugby league on Saturday July 4 and Sunday July 5, demand has never been as high. 

Having surpassed Magic WKNDs held in Cardiff, Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle and Leeds, RL Commercial Managing Director Rhodri Jones said: “Magic WKND has grown into one of rugby league’s great showcase events over the last 20 years – and these rapid ticket sales show it. 

“England fans really loved visiting the superb venue during the Ashes last autumn when the stadium was sold-out and it looks like many are coming back for more. 

“We set a target of making this the biggest and best Magic WKND yet and it’s brilliant to see supporters backing the event to help us achieve this. 

“We’ve had an excellent start to the Super League season with some enthralling action, thrilling encounters and there’s more set to come in Rivals Round over the next three days. 

“Crowds have never been as big at this stage of the campaign in the competition’s 30-year history and Magic offers the chance for fans to see all 12 of our English-based clubs in action over 48 hours.” 

Any fans without tickets are urged to book soon as the Sunday and full-weekend passes are both approaching sell-out. 

With unreserved seating, a pass-out system to enjoy the Plaza fan zone, entertainment, live music, in-bowl fan games and competitions, Magic offers something for everyone.

Leeds Rhinos fans are being warned to get their tickets for the Magic Weekend now at Everton FC's Hill Dickinson's Stadium to avoid missing out with the Sunday, when Leeds, Wigan and St Helens all play heading for a sell out. 

The Sunday fixtures sees four teams from West Yorkshire travel over along with the St Helens v Wigan derby and demand for tickets has been huge already.

Key Event Information

Leeds Rhinos supporters have been allocated spaces in the South Stand of the Hill Dickinson Stadium alongside Castleford Tigers and Wigan Warriors supporters.

Please note, all Category Two and Category Three tickets are unreserved seating with supporters able to move freely around their chosen tier of the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Group sales

2026 Leeds Rhinos supporters wanting to book more than 14 tickets as part of their booking can avail of a 25% group booking discount. For more information on group bookings please email Ian.wilson@therhinos.co.uk. Please note Leeds Rhinos will receive a portion of the ticket sales purchased via our email, tickets bought through other channels will not benefit the club. 

Travel

Leeds Rhinos will be running official travel from AMT Headingley Stadium to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday 5^thJuly only.

Travel is priced at £35 per person and coach travel timings will be confirmed once kick off times have been published. Please note that the coach will depart Hill Dickinson Stadium after the Leeds Rhinos vs Bradford Bulls game on Sunday.

More information

Children under the age of 2 are free of charge but they will require a ticket. Please ask supporters to contact the Customer Experience team on ticketing@rlcommercial.co.uk or via 0330 111 113 to obtain a ticket.

Children under 2 tickets will only be issued with proof of purchasing other tickets for that specific event.
