Getting to know: Catalans Dragons
Saturday night rugby league sees Leeds Rhinos head to the Stade Gilbert Brutus to take on Catalans Dragons in round 18 of the Betfred Super League, kick off 8pm UK time.
Here's a closer look at the Dragons:
Key Playmakers
Toby Sexton
Club Apps: 20 | Points: 132
Before he heads to Perth Bears for 2027, half-back Sexton remains the leading light for the Dragons both as a leader around the field for John Cartwright's side, as well as a points provider with 11 tries and 44 goals so far this campaign.
Sexton is the only player in the Catalans side to have played all 20 games this campaign, and his dynamic alongside Lewis Dodd has been a work in progress under both head coaches, Joel Tomkins and John Cartwright. He brings a wealth of NRL experience, having played 65 games across Gold Coast and Canterbury, but after being relegated into the Bulldogs' Reserves after the arrival of Lachlan Galvin, he opted for a move to Catalans that has largely paid off. He is the side's leading points scorer and the competition's leader for kicking metres in 2026.
Nick Cotric
Club Apps: 41 | Tries: 32
In year two at the Dragons, former Australia international and New South Wales rep Cotric has worked his way back into being a regular appearance maker under Cartwright.
A try scorer against Warrington in round 16, the centre has struggled to find the same try-scoring form that earned him honours whilst with Canberra Raiders in the NRL. After five tries in 25 games for the Dragons last year, he has scored just three total tries against Batley, Toulouse and the Wolves so far this campaign, but has made up for it with his efforts in ball carries, total metres and second-phase play such as offloads and tackle breaks.
With speculation linking him back to the NRL, he has 135 games to his name from time with the Green Machine, plus a short spell at Canterbury that saw the Serbian international score three times in 14 games.
Kruise Leeming
Club Apps: 19 | Tries: 13
Ready to take on his former club at the weekend, Leeming has transferred his form from time under Matt Peet at Wigan Warriors to the South of France as he's having a great personal campaign.
The former Rhinos, Giants and quadruple winner with the Warriors was quickly moved to Catalans during pre-season in place of Oli Partington, but the move has worked well for the hooker ranks in the top ten of his position for key carries, metres, runs out of dummy half and more, plus no Dragons player has made more tackles in Super League this year than Leeming with 519.
