Leeds v Wigan sells out at AMT Headingley

The SOLD OUT signs have gone up at AMT Headingley Stadium for this Saturday's massive Betfred Super League clash with Wigan Warriors, kick off 8pm.

With the top two in the league separated only by points difference, this penultimate game of the season will be decisive in who wins this year's League Leaders Shield going into the Grand Final play offs.

It is the first time that the 19,698 has been reached for a Super League game since the opening round of the 2020 season when the stadium hosted a double header between Toronto Wolfpack and Castleford Tigers before Leeds Rhinos played Hull FC. It will be the biggest ever crowd for a Leeds v Wigan game in the Super League era at AMT Headingley and the largest crowd for a game between the two sides since 11th December 1994 when 20,053 saw Leeds beat then reigning Champions Wigan 33-28.

2026 Season Members who can not attend are encouraged to email tickets@therhinos.co.uk to let the club know so these can be released for sale - members who do this will receive a match credit as a thank you that can be used towards future memberships, match tickets and travel before 31st December 2026. The club has urged supporters not to buy tickets from links on social media as often these can be scams and fans could end up losing money and not having a match ticket.

Anyone attending the game is encouraged to read the Essential Information story to find out how they can help the club make the night as enjoyable as possible for all spectators.

Leeds Rhinos Chief Executive Jamie Jones-Buchanan commented, "This is fantastic news not just for Leeds Rhinos but also the sport as a whole. Leeds versus Wigan is always one of the biggest games of the year but with so much at stake for both teams, this feels very special. I am sure a large travelling band of Wigan fans will add to the atmosphere but I know from my playing days how special it is to run out in front of a sea of Rhinos fans and the lift that gives you. Those lucky enough to have a ticket will be in for a brilliant night and I am sure both teams will produce a performance that the thousands watching at home on Sky Sports will be enthralled to see."

Speaking earlier this week in his pre-match press conference, Leeds Rhinos Head Coach Brad Arthur said he hoped the home supporters will have a role to play. He commented, "I know the supporters will play their part. They have been tremendous for us throughout the season, home and away. We have felt their support in the big moments, and particularly here at AMT Headingley. They have helped us play our football at home and create an environment that our opponents know they are coming into.

"We can’t guarantee a result, but what we can guarantee is that the team will play with the identity and style of rugby we have worked so hard to build. My message to everyone coming through the gates on Saturday is simple: get behind us, enjoy the occasion and let's make the most of this opportunity together."

Tickets are still available for the Rhinos final home game of the regular season with Hull FC come to AMT Headingley on Friday 11th September, kick off 8pm. Fans can purchase tickets for the Round 27 game at tickets.therhinos.co.uk
