Hooker Terry Newton joined the Rhinos from Orrel St James in 1996 and in his three years at the club, he was a key part of Leeds' spine under Graham Murray. A regular appearance maker, he was selected for the Rhinos' Grand Final squad in 1998, but it was in 1999 that Newton had some of his best moments in blue and amber, featuring 30 times, scoring three tries and lifting the Challenge Cup in May.
The hooker joined Frank Endacott's Wigan Warriors in 2001 and went on to played for five seasons in cherry and white. He was involved in three Grand Finals with the club but he did win a second Challenge Cup in 2002 before moving to Bradford in 2005.
