Debut: vs York Knights (A) 23/08/2026

Honours:

Leeds Rhinos confirmed the signing of experienced prop forward Matt Lodge for the remainder of the 2026 Betfred Super League season from North Queensland Cowboys.

The front rower joined the Rhinos with immediate effect to bolster Brad Arthur’s squad entering the final stages of the Betfred Super League campaign and debuted with a try off the bench in an away win over York Knights in August. Working his way into Arthur's pack in the absence of key forwards, he played all four games at the end of the season, including a start in the semi-final matchup against Warrington.

A player with significant experience at the highest level, he enjoyed a long career in the NRL and represented clubs including the Brisbane Broncos, New Zealand Warriors and Sydney Roosters. In total, he played 148 times in the NRL, including 15 appearances for the Cowboys before moving to the Rhinos.
